Tank Malling plot

John Tank Malling (Ray Winstone) is the name of a tenacious newspaper reporter who has just been released from prison, where he was sentenced for mine oath. Now he's beating the horse races. When escort Helen Searle (Amanda Donohoe) spreads a rumor about corruption at the highest level, it attracts the attention of a client of hers (Glen Murphy), who as a result murders a number of people involved in the plot. When Tank finds out, only the publisher of a gay bar magazine is willing to publish his story. Fortunately, he possesses the talent for making friends easily, both in prison and out of it. His old friends are with him.
