Symbiose plot

Sophie lives with her 25-year-old mentally handicapped son Koen. He is completely dependent on his mother's care. The two are together day and night and when Sophie is gone, the boy gets completely upset. This situation is irrevocably coming to an end now that Sophie has Pick's disease, causing her to forget more and more. The social services aim for Koen to be placed in an out-of-home placement, but Sophie has promised her son that they will always stay together.
