Svanurinn plot
Nine-year-old Sól is forced to move to the countryside to serve the remainder of her probationary period. Sól has been arrested for shoplifting and is sent by her recently divorced parents to her aunt's farm so as not to make the mistake again. Sól initially finds it terrible on the farm, but gradually gets used to it. She loves the animals and makes an unlikely friendship with an Icelandic worker. But the more she becomes acquainted with farm life, the more she discovers that adult life is far more complicated and arduous than she ever imagined.
