Sumarbörn plot
Sister and brother Eydís (6) and Kári (5) are transferred to a children's home in the countryside after their parents' divorce. Eydís is sure it will be short-lived and their mother will pick them up soon. Day after day passes, but Eydís remains optimistic and full of life, much to the chagrin of the head nurse of the institution.
