The American Dr. Lillian Hemphill has been working in London for 12 years. Unlike her younger sister Amy, she lives an organized life. In Portugal she meets Raymond Forbes. When they get home, they continue to meet until they finally get married. Only then does Lillian discover some secrets about Raymond.
