Athena is a dancer desperately trying to make it in Los Angeles. To date, she has not been very successful in this. Athena's eccentric father Jack unexpectedly interrupts her struggling existence when he asks her to come live with him in Florida to take care of him. He has big news: he has cancer. Caring for Jack is confrontational and demands a lot from Athena. When she receives a message from Los Angeles that she will finally get her big chance and possibly break through, doubts set in. Should she seize the opportunity or not?
