"How Big is a Big Picture?"
After the death of her wealthy father, Selena takes a job as a teacher in a Dutch community in New Holland. There she stays with the Pool family and marries Pervis after a short-lived affair. They have a child together, Dirk, but Pervis soon dies. Selena is again faced with the difficult task of supporting herself, this time with a son. She starts producing high-quality vegetables and is quickly successful.
