Slow plot
When dancer Elena and sign language interpreter Dovydas meet, a bond is formed that will change them forever. Beautiful and touching and at times funny film about love, respect and asexuality. I don't know of any other films with this subject, are there any? For that alone, this film deserves all the respect.

I watched this film in the arthouse cinema Sphinx in Ghent after winning tickets for it. It is a film that takes its time - duh - to explore the relationship between a heterosexual woman and an asexual man. It only revolves around that and the small side plots functionally serve the big theme. It makes you think about sexuality and love. I understood that even more in retrospect because the opening scene shows a duo having sex without emotional commitment. While the rest of the film revolves around emotional commitment and the threshold present here with physicality. As the user above indicates, this is certainly a film with a very original and little-known theme. I myself also have doubts about that asexuality, but the film does not pretend to have ready-made insights. That would also be a bit strange with such a subject.
