Slander plot
"Who will be the next victim of the scandal magazine?"
The publisher HR Manley has no problem publishing on all matters, as long as it increases the turnover of his magazine. Not even if it could ruin the lives of those involved. Manley's compromising articles about petty criminal Scott Ethan Martin indirectly lead to the death of his young son Joey. But it's not Ethan Scott Martin who is seeking retaliation, but HR Manley's alcoholic mother. She kills her son before he ruins any more lives.
