Silver Wings plot
"A Lightning Bolt From a Clear Sky"
When John Webb dies, his wife, Anna, and his children, John, Harry and Ruth, are well cared for, thanks to his patent on a greatly improved sewing machine. However, as time goes by, Harry controls the factory money and spends too much of it, John leaves town on charges of stealing the money embezzled by Harry, and Ruth runs away. Anna has to sell the company to cover Harry's debts, and when she is reduced to poverty, she takes a menial factory job.
