Sia, le Rêve du Python plot

Koumbi is a run-down town dominated by a ruler named Kaya Maghan. The ruler's priests have to perform a traditional human sacrifice to the Serpent God, a ritual in which the people no longer believe. Sia, the prettiest girl in town and virgin, is assigned. But she is engaged to Mamadi, a brave army lieutenant. When he hears the news, he manages to avoid the sacrifice of his beautiful lover. Sia flees the city and heeds the words of Kerfa, an old madman who speaks wise but subversive words.
