Short Changed plot

Australian Alison has a son, Tommy, with Aboriginal Australian Stuart. They are married, but their marriage breaks down and Stuart leaves for the bush. When he later wants to have contact with his child, he is opposed from all sides. Tommy must not know from his mother and the authorities that he has an Aboriginal father.
