Svaniti nella Notte plot
American psychiatrist Elena has come to live in Italy for the love of Pietro, a man with a turbulent past. They married and had two children, with the dream of restoring a farm and turning it into a hotel. But everything went to shit and soon Pietro and Elena broke up. One night, their children disappear into thin air while they are on the farm with Pietro. He looks for them everywhere and eventually, out of desperation, he is forced to warn Elena, with whom he is in a dispute over the custody of the children. It isn't long before they receive a phone call: their children have been kidnapped for a large sum of money.

Quite an exciting film with an unexpected twist halfway through. At the end, I actually expected that the father would have recorded the mother's confession with his phone, as the mother had previously done with the father. This didn't happen, instead the somewhat sappy ending. Nevertheless, a great film that never left me bored for a second.

In itself a great film with an interesting plot, despite the fact that it was clear from the beginning, Elena's explanation during the conversation with the divorce lawyers, who was behind the kidnapping. Things really got interesting from the moment Pietro started to doubt himself. The ending was poor and the boat trip part took up too much time compared to the rest of the story.

I read somewhere without salt. And an incredibly bad script, and completely unbelievable. As someone says, the woman would take a flight back to the man, she would be at the house within 10 minutes, and there was more.
I can't say more because people still have to watch, but what happens to those sleeping children is really laughable.
And not to mention the not really strong acting performances. It could have been good, but it wasn't at all, that's what more than 1000 people on IMBD also think because they rightly only give 5.2....

Always nice to see Scamarcio at work. Not that he always plays in great films, but he has such a typical character that I like.
Here as a desperate father who tries to prevent his children from having access rights. Add to that his past of debts, which creates a subplot with the local mafia to describe those guys simply.
He already has enough trouble with his handsome, but not to be underestimated ex. Some nice plot twists, quite an entertaining film, but it is certainly not all that great. A bit Netflix level, entertaining, but no more than that. Nice to have taken part.
