Samt el Qusur plot
1970s: Alia, a 25-year-old singer who sings happy songs but doesn't feel that way at all, learns that Prince Sid' Ali has died and immediately pays a visit to the palace. Thus she returns to her youth and in particular to 1956; the year in which Tunisia managed to make itself independent from the French occupier. Alia's mother is the prince's favorite tea-bringer, which in reality means that he lays claim to her body without hesitation. And although no one talks about it, everyone is pretty sure that Alia is his child. Alia's mother wants to protect her daughter from a similar future but is unsuccessful, but Alia is the first woman to escape from the palace. Twenty years later, she realizes how her childhood affected her life and makes an important decision, all by herself.
