Saba plot
Against the backdrop of Dhaka's current financial crisis, the strong-willed Saba cares for her equally strong-willed mother, Shirin, who is paralyzed. When Shirin suffers a heart attack, Saba scrambles to raise money for the surgery her mother desperately needs. She takes a job as a waitress at a seedy hookah lounge, where she bonds with her manager through their shared dreams of a different life. Meanwhile, Shirin, stuck at home, feels increasingly trapped.
