Myra is unhappy because she has to marry Cliff. When he accidentally kills her boss, she's had enough and she finally has an excuse to leave him. She flees to Mexico, but because Cliff aspires to a political career, the murder could prove fatal. He decides to hire Ross, a war veteran, to kill Myra. But Ross falls in love with Myra, and Cliff decides to handle it himself.
