A great cast and a decent espionage story make this miniseries worth watching. The young Eva Delectorskaya, played by Hayley Atwell, was a mouthwatering ass, and Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey Lady Mary) and our own Thekla Reuten also played roles. The setting was more than adequate, and the switching between the two time periods wasn't distracting, although I would have preferred the film to be set solely in the 1940s.

A superb espionage thriller with a compelling story, beautiful setting and locations, and a mouthwatering cast: Hayley Atwell delivers a superb young Eva, followed by Michelle Dockery, known from Downton Abbey as Lady Mary, and our own Thekla Reuten, though she doesn't have a major role. And then there's Charlotte Rampling and Michael Gambon. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it didn't drag on for a minute. The reconstruction of the Venlo Incident, where two British secret agents were ambushed in 1939 and taken to Germany, and a Dutch officer was killed, is also a nice touch. A lot happens in this beautifully crafted two-part series.
