Reise in die Nacht plot

Irene (Ulrike Kriener) goes on holiday to Turkish Cyprus with her daughter Lili (Julia Brendler). She thinks she knows the population well because she once talked to a Turk in Berlin-Kreuzberg, but her daughter is much more reserved. When they set up their tent on a deserted beach, disaster strikes: daughter Lili is raped by a young man. In their resistance, the two women accidentally kill the attacker, but they end up in prison with severe sentences. It is only when the brilliant young Turkish lawyer Asuman (Renan Demirkan) gets involved in the case that there is any hope.
