Racket Man, The plot
"He knew every angle... except a girl's love!"
Matt Benson and 'Irish' Duffy are childhood friends and grew up in the same neighborhood. Both are in love with Phyllis Lake. Irish eventually became a police officer and Matt a criminal. When World War II breaks out, Matt is drafted into the military. Matt is not sent to the front by the government, however, but she decides to use Matt to round up a gang of black market traders. He goes incognito among the gang. However, due to a blunder by the journalist and Phyllis' brother Larry Lake, Matt is discovered.
