Qui Vive plot

In Qui Vive we see how, twelve years later, the characters from Leedvermaak fared. Lea's first husband, Alexander is making a sequel to the wedding film and shows us the already well-known characters and how they have fared. Dory, Nico's first wife, is pregnant. The father of the child is Simon, Lea's father. Nico has entered a crisis and decides to resign as hospital director. He retires to the farm where he hid during the war. Hans, Nico's best friend, is married to Pien. After fathering seven children, he flees this marriage. Black, Nico's father, increasingly shuts himself off from the world; he reads and rereads his first wife's camp letters.
