Quattro Figli Unici plot
Virginia is a journalist. She is separated from Ennio. One day her son Paolo disappeared without a trace. Together with her friend Giorgio, she goes on a search. The search is fruitless. Virginia enlists Ennio's help, but this also fails. Giorgio discovers that Virginia's daughter, Micol, has stuffed the whole house with listening devices. The confrontation with the recordings leads to an evaluation of the past and insight into Paolo's reasons for running away. Wise, they set out together again to find her son.
