Put, Vejini plot

Uldis arrives at an estate to ask for the hand of Zane, the daughter of the house. However, he falls for the charms of Baiba, a maidservant. However, Baiba rejects him. Frustrated at the rejection, Uldis approaches Zane's mother to further discuss the prenuptial agreement. However, the feelings between Uldis and Baiba are not yet a thing of the past.
