Punch plot
"Strength to fight, courage to love."
Jim is a promising teenage boxer who trains under the watchful eye of his demanding and alcoholic father. When Jim develops a relationship with a male classmate, the two are forced to navigate isolation, homophobia, and the brutality of small-town life. When Jim discovers what it means to be gay, he realizes that heroism has little to do with strength.

Jim [Jordan Oosterhof] is being groomed by his father Stan [Tim Roth] to fulfill his dream and make it as a professional boxer. However, Stan loses himself in booze and Jim meets Whetu [Conan Hayes], a gay sex worker for whom he quickly develops more than friendly feelings. Reasonable, but not very memorable romantic melodrama because it mainly follows well-trodden paths.
