Praia Formosa plot

Like any bustling coastal town, Rio de Janeiro's port area has always been a hub of cultures, nationalities and identities. The film tells the story of Muanza, a woman born in the Kingdom of Congo in the early nineteenth century and brought to Brazil as a slave. She wakes up in the present and wanders the streets of Rio's rapidly changing port area known as 'Pequena Africa', or Little Africa.
