Polumgla plot
Young Russian non-commissioned officer Grigori Anokhin is ordered to lead a group of German prisoners of war through the northern taiga, where they must build a radar tower for the Allies. Grigori treats the Germans with hatred and without respect. The journey ends in the village of Polumgla, which is inhabited only by women, children and disabled people, as all the men fight at the front. The whole village is hostile to the German construction crew, but slowly but surely the realization comes that their presence can also be interpreted positively.
