Place to Be plot

Widow Brooke leads a quiet life, which is suddenly disrupted by a carrier pigeon that enters her home. Brooke cannot bring herself to abandon the pigeon and embarks on a journey that takes them from Chicago to New York to reunite the animal with its owner. Along the way, she meets businessman Nelson, who has weathered storms. Brooke unexpectedly forms a close friendship with him.
