Peking Express plot

Michael Bachlin, an apolitical doctor with the United Nations World Food Programme, is in Shanghai. He investigates the missing shipment of medical supplies and determines that he has to travel by express train to Beijing. Among the passengers are priest Joseph Murray, who has worked in China for many years, and the mysterious businessman Kwon. Just before the train leaves, Kwon's son Ti Shen tries to join his father, but his mother Li Elu has him arrested by Nationalist agents.
