Pegiy Pyos, Begushchiy Kraem Morya plot

Ten-year-old Kirisk is allowed to go on a seal hunt with his father, uncle and grandfather. For the boy, this is very important as it means that he is now a man and keeps up the family tradition. The hunters get lost at sea in a heavy storm. The supply of drinking water is quickly dwindling and Kirisks' father, uncle and grandfather sacrifice themselves to save the boy's life.
