Personal meta-film in the style of Kiarostami (but somewhat 'looser' and less refined) about a (read: 'the') filmmaker who returns to his fragile homeland after a stay in the US (the 'mid-length'- movie Octopus takes that fact a bit further, since by that time the explosion of Beirut took place). Injuries to both eyelids mean that Kassem has to bandage his eyes regularly and at those moments goes half blind through life. He seeks and finds connection at a school for blind children, where a positive and sharp attitude to life prevails despite the restrictive circumstances.
