Once I Was plot
Summer of 1968 in Haifa, Israel. Rockets rain down from Lebanon when teenager Arik Burstein (Tuval Shafir) dreams of being a war hero. His father is a Holocaust survivor. Arik gets a summer job as a detective of sorts for Yankele Bride (Adir Miller), a Matchmaker. Like his father, Yankele survived the Holocaust. He is convinced that he can give people "what they need, not what they want". The meeting between Arik and Yankele will change both their lives forever...
