"From "The Emigrants" dream, come the settlers struggle to survive..."
The story of Swedish emigrants living in Minnesota. Although they did not come to the US to become Americans, they are slowly being absorbed by the local culture. The Nilsson family (from Utvandrarna) is having a hard time in their new country. They hardly speak English and have problems with the political changes.
