Nomad Shadow plot

Mariam is a twenty-something from the Sahara who fled ten years ago. She was deported from Spain and sent home. She desperately wants to return to Europe, but has no way to earn enough money. And her family is less than welcoming. Her mother and sister resent her for leaving. Her protective brother, Alwali, won't let her work in his lucrative drug trade, her only potential source of income. Her only solace is her old friend Sid, also an outsider, and her new, unlikely friendship with Alwali's Moroccan friend, Gaila.
