A well-shot film with limited resources! Great concept (would like to see this as a feature with a bit more budget). I always love these kinds of themes. The (recognizable) moment of the massive NL Alert messages reminded me a bit of the moment when the population sees the mushroom cloud appear in the Jericho series. Then a nice mix of tension, drama and claustrophobia. The larger roles are played well.
I'm curious about the rest of Koolhoven's film class.

The idea is nice, but the execution is too short and too mediocre to really convince. The acting in particular is not always easy, the hysteria was very lackluster and I did not always believe it. It only gets better in the last 10 minutes and the last minute is even quite beautiful. Visually not very special. Short and easy to finish, but that's about it. If you are given a free hand then you could have shown a little more courage, now it is all so flat and within the lines. 2.5*.

Exciting short film from the Koolhoven Presenteert series, in which promising new directors get a chance to make a genre film. This low budget drama, about a nuclear missile fired at Amsterdam, shows nothing new, but manages to create an uncomfortable and intense atmosphere with few resources, with not too lousy acting. And at 40 minutes this is just long enough.
