Missing Brendan plot

George Calden is at his home in Chicago when he receives information about a downed jet fighter. Could this jet have belonged to his son Brendan, who has been missing since the Vietnam War? George persuades his two other sons Sean, Bob and his son Patrick to go and have a look on the spot. With the help of archaeologist Julie Conroy, aircraft specialist Stan Wade and a number of Vietnamese, they embark on an unforgettable quest. A number of setbacks follow, but when it emerges that George has a terminal illness, the company decides once again to persevere.
