Mina Drömmars Stad plot

Stockholm at the end of the nineteenth century. The orphan Henning, while looking for work, has to fight an uphill battle for existence. In his inhumane existence there is still room for his love for the daughter of a washerwoman, Lotten, whom he marries. Despite their famine, disease and misfortune, their love and devotion to each other and to their children survive, and they continue to dream of a better future.
