Message from Nam plot

Paxton meets Peter in college in the 1960s. He wants to marry her, but she wants to see some of the world first. When Peter is called up to fight in Vietnam, he dies. Paxton then travels to Vietnam to report on this 'dirty war' as a war correspondent.
