Mayerling plot
"No one woman could satisfy him...until he fell in love."
Austria 1880. The behavior of Crown Prince Rudolph is a constant thorn in the side of his father Emperor Franz Joseph. He allied himself with political agitators in hopes of reforming the country. He spends more time with his mistresses than with his wife Stephanie. The Emperor's patience runs out when his son publicly begins an affair with the young Maria Vetsera. Under great pressure, Rudolph gives in and promises not to spend more than 1 month with Maria.
