Marion plot

Ten-year-old Marion lives in a small French town surrounded by her warm family. A wealthy Parisian couple moves into a villa nearby and the spontaneous Marion soon gets to know the lady of the house. The woman, who likes her very much, makes her parents a generous proposal. She wants to pay for Marion's education in Paris. The consequence would then be that the girl leaves the parental home, but she could move into the rich couple's house. Marion's parents are faced with a dilemma: they can't afford it themselves, but letting Marion leave the house in this way isn't what they want either.
