Malenkie Lyudi plot

Max and Beck left the military together and now share a small flat in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan. To earn a living, they roam the streets in search of gullible souls who are willing to pay a lot of money for their kitschy knickknacks. Max brings in the most income. He is outgoing, witty and possessed of an unusual power of persuasion. Qualities that also serve him well when picking up his girls for one night. Beck is his polar opposite in every way. He is very shy and people just pass him in the street without even giving him a glance. Unlike the cynical Max, he is a romantic soul who dreams of ideal love. One day he sees a mysterious woman dressed in red passing by. Max is instantly in love.
