Machete plot

"Murder and Manhunt in the Caribbean Jungle Lands!"

Machete is set on a sprawling Puerto Rican plantation. Bernardo, a sort of modern Iago, wants to make the owner of the plantation Don Luis Montoya jealous by saying that his voluptuous wife made it up with foreman Carlos. Unlike Iago in Othello, however, Bernardo speaks the truth here. Montoya's wife Jean doesn't shy away from cheating on her husband, despite knowing that Don Montoya considers Carlos the son he never had.
