Lust of the Ages plot

Lois Craig is the daughter of a man, now dead, to whom money and power were very important. While in high school, she becomes engaged to Byron Masters, who bears a striking resemblance to her father. His company helps support the college Lois attends, and at her graduation, when Professor Mason gives a speech warning of the evils of wealth, Masters becomes irritated. He threatens to fire Mason, despite Lois's protests.
