Love Hate Love plot
Model Sheila Blunden (Lesley Ann Warren) is engaged to engineer Russ Emery (Ryan O'Neal). She also falls for the charms of the charismatic playboy Leo Price (Peter Haskell). Price appears to suffer from sudden, inexplicable outbursts of hatred and violence. When Sheila discovers this, she and Russ leave for California. However, Leo doesn't just give up and stalks the betrothed on their way to their destination. He acts cautiously and tries to stay within the bounds of the law, but Sheila and Russ now know that he could go crazy at any moment.
