Lost & Found plot

Five years after his successful debut, writer Lucas is completely stuck. In a desperate attempt to breathe new life into his second book – a pretentious World War II novel – he travels to Berlin. Completely unexpectedly he runs into his old travel lover Lena. When circumstances doom the two to each other, a special night follows, in which they wander through Berlin together. They talk about their hopes for the future, now that that future has officially begun. But have they actually pronounced everything from the past correctly?

Millennials navel gazing in #Berlin has almost become a genre in itself. Because oh how #hip and #happening that city is, while it has such a loaded history. 'Lost & Found' (2018) makes a Dutch contribution, with a love story between Lucas (Bram Suijker) and Lena (Hannah Hoekstra). Totally meaning with a big fat B, but with a touch of #irony in perspective. The contrasts are overstated and the social criticism is not very subtle. It's not really stilted or original, but the atmospheric scenes of #Berlin are amusing and it has nice songs on the soundtrack. But hey, #Berlin is #nicely conjured on the #image. You get the #depth #gift!

Quite a nice Telefilm, especially the one that looks nice and nice. In terms of content, I found it all a bit meaningless posturing that pretends to be more interesting than it actually is. That's the big difference with Before Sunrise, the latter felt real and sparkled. Such a Hoekstra still does a good job and comes across as lively with her facial expression and whole movements, but she has an annoying voice, intonation and appearance.
Well, the movie looked good. The images of Berlin - nice city, although Hamburg is even nicer - are nice, but especially the atmosphere of the big city comes out nicely. And some images like that bright blue swimming pool are really beautiful. The soundtrack is also fine. All too often my attention slipped away from the characters and I just sat looking at the images of Berlin. 3.0*.

As far as I am concerned, Hannah Hoekstra was precisely the reason that I finished watching the film so easily, yes, the images of Berlin are also beautifully shot and the Before Sunrise atmosphere can be tasted here and there, but precisely because Hannah plays her character in such a way, she seemed to be a piece, however. It's almost nothing like acting, and I mean that in a positive way. Of course it also helps that she is without a doubt a beautiful woman that I also want to take a night walk with.

I didn't mind her voice, by the way, to get involved in the little discussion above.

Quite a nice snack from our own soil, not brilliant but it was all pleasant.

3*
