Le Grand Jeu plot

The endearing lawyer Pierre (Jean-Claude Pascal) is happily married to Sylvia (Gina Lollobrigida) but becomes embroiled in a scandal over a woman and signs for the Foreign Legion. There he meets the prostitute Blanche who looks just like his ex-lover and whose attacker he kills. He lets her start a new life in Europe and seeks his own penance as a legionnaire.
