Land van Rama plot

Three-part miniseries that gives a picture of a changing world of Surinamese Hindustani in the Netherlands. In 1975, after a serious conflict with his brother, Milan Rambharos left his homeland to study medicine in the Netherlands as an 18-year-old boy. Twenty-five years later, he has a good job, is married and has two adolescent children. Tensions arise in the family if the doctor has problems at work and there is disagreement about parenting at home. When Milan receives a message one day that his father is dying, the family is forced to travel to Suriname, which has been so long suppressed. There is not only a huge cultural difference between the families, but also mutual conflict.
