La Nemica plot

The Duchess Anna is a widow who has to raise her two sons alone. The eldest is an illegitimate child of her husband. Although she keeps this a secret, she does not want Roberto to inherit the wealth and noble title later on instead of Giacomo. Roberto who really loves his stepmother is shocked to learn the truth and in desperation he joins the army... but it is Giacomo who dies during the war. Despite her grief, Anna cannot help but accept Roberto as her own son...
