La Face plot

Paul Berthier, an ambitious prosecutor, does not intervene when he sees how a girl who accidentally ended up in the water is drowning. However, the prosecutor's office suspects that there is malicious intent and opens an investigation, which is entrusted to Berthier. A suspect is soon found: Guillaume Vauban, the victim's ex-boyfriend. Guillaume is the son of the wealthy industrialist Serge Vauban and enjoys a dubious reputation in the region. While community pressure mounts on Guillaume, Berthier refuses to reveal the truth about the girl's death.
