L'Esclave plot
Michel Lando, a talented but unemployed pianist, finds a job in an orchestra of a café. One day he is beaten by a customer and is in bad shape. He is taken to the hospital where he is given morphine to ease his pain. He soon becomes dependent on the drug. The cynical Fétiche, his former mistress, gives him a daily dose. Michel feels himself sinking deeper and deeper into the swamp of addiction.
