L'Enfance Volée plot

Ten-year-old R'kia, daughter of poverty-stricken farmers, is entrusted by her father to an intermediary for money. He places the child with a wealthy bourgeois family in Casablanca. She discovers the luxury there, but realizes that it is strictly forbidden for her. Despite the temptation of consumer goods, it is a daily struggle to gain the favor of the rich housewife. After witnessing an attempted rape by her bosses' son, she runs away.
