Krótki Dzien Pracy plot

In 1968, a young man joins a protester's rally by condemning the rioters who incited the students. Eight years later, in Radom, Poland, during the June 1976 protests, the young man is now the local first secretary of the Communist Party. He faces a mob of strikers protesting a 69 percent increase in food prices for which the central government is responsible. Demonstrations in the industrial towns of Plock and Radom quickly lead to the layoff of thousands of workers. The party secretary tries to appease the bustle of the workers grouping under his window. Despite the growing threat, he decides not to heed the advice he gets from running away in a hurry.
